The Bastard Suns
The Bastard Suns
The Bastard Suns are a four-piece sonic assault vehicle. In just under 9 years, this Atlanta band has managed to release two full-length albums and five EPs, punctuated by 2009’s ultra-popular full-length Here Come the Suns, and most recently, 2011’s A Band for All Seasons. With the help of several national radio stations and sponsors like Silver Surfer Vaporizers and Sacred Custom Percussion, the band has amassed hundreds of thousands of views on YouTube, including the video for their single S.B.M.T., which has over 100,000 views alone. Their tours are completely self-funded, and have spanned the length of the U.S. over a dozen times, including countless East Coast and southern tours.

The Bastard Suns have always set themselves apart by seamlessly blending their primary influences (punk, ska, bluegrass, folk and reggae) into a live show that borders on a religious experience. What began as a small grassroots campaign is quickly turning into a full-blown national following and it seems that The Bastards are only just now hitting their creative stride. The boys are are currently finishing up material for a third full-length album. Make ready, because Here Come the Suns.

P-Nuckle
Sometimes the moment of clarity becomes something continual, rather than an instant. For Denver rock reggae/ska outfit, P-Nuckle, that evolution is about to be more apparent than ever. A matured sense of lucidity, coupled with the experience of a musical career spanning over a decade, has the group poised and ready for national ascent. Known for a dedicated passion for delivering messages of hope and triumph over adversity has allowed the band to cultivate an extremely loyal fanbase; one that is sure to grow with the release of the band's fourth studio album, "Stand Up and Bitch". Slotted for a release this fall, the album will give fans a direct glimpse of a full-grown set of ideals from one of Colorado's most recognized bands. With eclectic musical influences ranging from Dancehall Reggae to straight ahead punk rock, P-Nuckle has always created a memorable live experience. While their next album may be a bit more mature, don't expect any less intense of a live show. The band is ready to celebrate the journey that has created this album with a beefed up tour schedule. The national P-Nuckle family of fans, affectionately known as "Nuckleheads" will get the chance to see more of the band, then they have in the past year, and have every opportunity to be a part of the vibe of a P-Nuckle show. There are some bands that are a part of the times, and then there are some bands that create the times. Get ready for P-Nuckle!!!
Jackson Taylor (Acoustic)
Jackson Taylor (Acoustic)
Jackson's new LP "Which Way Is Up", charting at #47 on Billboard County Album of The Year (with no radio play), begins his 2017 tour schedule along with the 10th Anniversary of his "Whiskey Sessions" album, from his new home of Denver, CO at Herman's Hideaway Friday, February 10th. His notorious outlaw style, immortalized in the video "Cocaine", has toppled 1 million views on Youtube. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m4w9EPr6FsI

"Hard to Be an Outlaw (Who Ain't Wanted Anymore) came from one of the wild conversations with my roughhouse, rounder, one and only, real brother. Far as I'm concerned, straight shooting, greatest entertainer, songwriter, kickass, lives life to the hilt, outlaw who ever lived – or will live - my best friend, Jackson Taylor." - Billy Joe Shaver.

When you're immortalized in a song written by the likes of Billy Joe Shaver, and recorded by Billy Joe and Willie Nelson, there really is not much more to say than a few facts…

Since 2001 Jackson Taylor has been one of the most prolific songwriters and recording artists of any genres of music, with over a dozen CD's and multiple times on Billboard's Top 100 list. All without record companies, management, booking agents, or publicists. Jackson Taylor personifies true independence.

Born the youngest son to a migrant farm worker, Jackson spent his youth living the modern equivalent of Steinbeck's, "Grapes of Wrath." With a background much more akin to Merle Haggard and Buck Owens, than his contemporaries. Jackson's music reflects his adolescence of hard labor and poverty. Growing up working and living in the California, Washington, and Montana fruit ranches. Jackson's musical influence crosses many boundaries. He has recorded with red dirt legend Jason Boland, and Austin Texas legend Dale Watson. Jonny Two Bags, the lead guitarist of Southern California's punk innovators and royalty, Social Distortion. As well as rockabilly troubadour Lucky Tubb, and south Texas rockers the Pear Rats. He has shared the stage with everyone from Lynnrd Skynnrd and The Black Crowes, to Willie Nelson and Billy Joe Shaver. Much of Jackson's career early on was marred by excessive drugs and alcohol, and violent outbursts. Cementing his image as a wild and out of control artist. Leading him to being blacklisted from many venues across the country and internationally.

The last five years, Texas music's baddest boy has made good, found his center, and was offered his place in Texas music history by recording a Live at Billy Bob's CD/DVD in 2013, which would have been unthinkable just a few years before.

Jackson now lives in Denver, CO with his wife, writing books, painting, and turning his manic energies into a constant flow of creativity. He and his band The Sinners, continue to tour and put out records. And as the wild times fade into memory, Jackson Taylor is showing to be as resilient as he is prolific.
