Hillbilly Hellcats have toured 10 European countries and all of the continental U.S. in the last year. After being voted Best Rockabilly Band for 1995-2000 in Denver’s Westword magazine, the band focused it’s efforts on the U.S. and Europe. As a result they have established an extensive following. The band’s sound incorporates the 50’s rockabilly groove with a 2000’s energy level. It is high-octane rockabilly.Songs from the band’s CDs are regularly heard in TV shows such as MTV,Court TV, Showtime, HBO, and HGTV. For concerts and shorter shows the band sticks to it’s original material for which it is well known, but on longer evenings it delves into a lot of rockabilly standards, including songs by Elvis, Gene Vincent, Johnny Burnette, Billy Lee Riley, the Stray Cats, Link Wray.
