Pain of Dying is an all original band formed in 2007 by Shane “Soldat” and Ian “The AXEMAN” Their earlier Projects consist of Albatross, Pulsader, and a current project of Ian’s Macavido. In 2008 Don “Shank” formerly of Twisted Fate, was added on bass, and in 2009 Avery"Little Bastard" Vox, And Chad our new drummer joined the project. Based out of Fort Collins, Pain of Dying hit the scene in Dec 2008, playing numerous shows, including a spring 2009 tour to Fort Worth Texas wOPC. There they dazzled audiences at the Rock star Sports Bar and performed with StaggerCrawl and New Zealand’s very own Legacy of Disorder. Pain of dying is on the cutting edge of new meets old metal bringing three decades of metal influence together in all of their original music, with influences that range from Slayer, testament, MOD, Black Label Society, Death, Obituary, Pink floyd, Iron maiden, Six Feet Under, Disincarnate, Pantera, White Zombie, Cannibal Corpse, Mega Deth, And Disturbed to mention just a few. Pain of Dying not only appeals to all audiences but is a bands band too, being held in high regard by their peers an creating lasting relationships every where they go.
