The Irie Still band was formed in 1995 in New Mexico. It’s style, steeped first and foremost in the danceable beats of Reggae, incorporating elements of Soca, Dancehall, Ska, Hip-Hop, Calypso, Funk, Soul, Tribal Rock & Latin Jazz. Over their twelve year career they have shared the stage with stars such as Burning Spear, Black Uhuru, Jimmy Cliff, Toots and the Maytals, Eek-A-Mouse, Culture, Israel Vibrations, Dub Syndicate & Yellowman. Currently based in Colorado, Irie Still headlines the Reggae on Broadway series at Herman’s Hideaway and The International World Music Festival in Keystone Colorado. The Irie Still Band plays frequently in Denver, Boulder, the metro-area front range and various mountain towns. Irie Still is an overwhelming powerhouse onstage. Playing mostly original music, the band incorporates audience participation, soaring vocal harmonies, and political consciousness into a live set that often stretches to three hours without a break.
