FINALISTS ANNOUNCED FOR BEST OF THE WEST MUSIC SERIES
Four of Colorado’s best advance for a chance to win $20,000 in prizes

February 3, 2010—After three months of competition only four bands remain in the highest stakes music competition in Colorado. Set for Friday, February 26th, the Finals of Best of the West will feature (in order) Goldie & the Bears, Yerkish, Forth Yeer and The Epilogues.

The final four bands will be judged by a panel of experienced music industry professionals who will take the band’s live performance, song quality and crowd appeal into consideration when deciding which bands will win the title of Best of the West. Fans can also vote for their favorite bands online at LocalsCut.com.

Separating this event from others in the past is the magnitude of the prizes these bands are competing for. At stake is over $20,000 in prizes including $4,000 cash, a $7,000+ recording package with Colorado Sound and Producer/Engineer JP Manza, a regional endorsement from Sabian Cymbals, a promotional package and more. Also at stake is a spot to play on the main stage at Red Rocks for Film on the Rocks 2010; a rare opportunity for even the biggest names in the national music scene.
