"AUSTIN SAX" TAKE YOU RIGHT WHERE YOU WANNA BE
"This Rose is in full bloom", Michael Roberts, Westword
"...watching and listening to her perform is like having sex. Good Sex...sweet dark bedroom trance...her lyrics and music are the smartest and most well crafted use of both languages you've heard in a long time. She is an extremely gifted composer...Elizabeth Rose is an addiction", Stephanie Jones, Los Angeles, Sphere.
"Still Pretending" was written at an acoustic piano, and has the flavors of classical, soul, and cabaret blues. "Act II" is "smokey, mellow...a powerful spell...". All songs written by Elizabeth Rose.
The band tours as a solo, duo, trio, or four piece ensemble. Rose's live shows include bass, drums and sax. The repertoire, originals and covers, is musically appropriate for an eclectic mix of venues: supper clubs, martini lounges, banquet halls, private parties, theaters, jazz or R&B clubs, and ballrooms.
"Still Pretending" and "Act II" are available on cdbaby, i-tunes, and napster. The third record is being tracked.
Songwriter, singer, pianist, Elizabeth Rose starred in the currently running Fearless at fearless.msn.com. Notably among many plays she starred in the hit regional premier of "I Love You, You"re Perfect, Now Change", at the Denver Performing Arts Center. Rose can be seen in the film, Juncture, which premiered in the Denver Film Festival. She starred in Marty Lindsey's film, Sub-Urban, which screened this year at Cinequest.
