Little is known about Drakes, with the exception of knowing they drink...a lot.
So the story goes, that the brothers Drake were discovered roaming the woods of the central Rocky Mtns. by a gang of zombie wolves sometime in the early morning on a Tuesday. The wolves taught the brothers many things such as proper drinking, fly fishing, and rebelling against "the man".
When the mysterious Drakes finally left the cozy zombie wolf den in 2011 and emerged into society, they pursued all that is good. They formed a band and have been entrancing crowds with driving beats and drunken hijinks's ever since.
We're Drakes, and we drink....

Emergency Pullout hails from Denver, Colorado where a young music scene has been born. From this new scene bands like The Fray, 3oh!3, The Flobots, Devotchka, and Tickle Me Pink have put Denver on the map. While other multi-platinum artists like One Republic and Rise Against call Denver a second home. Denver is now in the spotlight to bring more great music to the world. Emergency Pullout (or EPO for short) is ready to take on the task and has been working hard making name for themselves in the Mile High City. Playing the cities best local music venues like the legendary Herman's Hideaway and the new local favorite Moe's Original BBQ and Bowling, being featured on 93.3 KTCL's Local's Only Radio Show, playing with up and coming national acts like Warner Drive and Tommy and the High Pilots, and being selected to play in Westword's Best of the West Competition. EPO has been hailed as one of the most original bands by making their own style of funk/rock with a touch of blues and a hint of soul that can best be described as music that makes you want to dance. Their self-produced debut EP "Your Future Depends On It" available on itunes and local record stores in Denver has people abuzz about a great new sound. The members of EPO have known each other since high school and have been in various projects throughout the years but came together with their desire to make great music in 2009. Tyler Munkres brings the beats on the drums, Erik Smiley funks it up on the bass, Eric Sturgeon lays down the intricate guitar melodies, and Dan Hammermiester soothes the soul with his passionate voice. Together they are Emergency Pullout, the best thing to happen since the state since gave you your medical marijuana card.
Heads Without Dogs
"The Lowly Lights" is the first album by Heads Without Dogs. Once the songs that found themselves on this album began to take shape, Evan Schmidt started to look around for other musicians to help deliver the vision he had that would become Heads Without Dogs. Members Olivier Piroue, Austin Perkins and long-time friend Britton Woolums quickly jumped on board. After months of rehearsing for "The Lowly Lights," the album began to take a 'menacing punk sound that isn't afraid to experiment.' The result is an aggressive, and at times noisily melodic, record that dabbles in quick tempos, intricate jams, country/blues infusions and even doo-wop. Lyrically the album is described as a semi-autobiographical 'inner-monologue' that Schmidt developed during a 'darker' part of his life. The themes are tightly tied together with motifs and and the dark ideas expressed are hard to not have fun with. The recurring ideas expressed on "The Lowly Lights" help the album run like a narrative.
Heads Without Dogs have crafted a uniquely energetic live show. With all members having had the advantage of playing with previous groups, the energy generated on stage is explosive. The band's music is full of peaks and valleys that allow the guys to have fun building up, riding through and tearing down riffs and phrases. Always a varietal set with dancing, jamming and general movement, Heads Without Dogs shows always include something new and exciting.
The gentlemen are currently working on multimedia accompaniment for "The Lowly Lights" and following up with a the release of both a Single and EP this year.
