Thanks to Philo is a Denver-based blues-rock quintet specializing in dynamic original music as well as crowd-friendly covers. Fronted by vocalist Erin Armstrong, a classically trained and accomplished singer/guitarist with an angelic voice, the band travels all around the Denver area as well as the snowy mountain regions. Supported by lead guitarist/vocalist Chris Michlewicz otherwise known as the almighty C Bass, drummer Charlie O’Neal (Chuck D), bassist Tommy Weber and back-up vocalist Alana Opie, Thanks to Philo churns out hits from artists such as Johnny Cash, Led Zeppelin, the Doobie Brothers, Sublime, State Radio, King’s of Leon, and Dave Matthews Band. Thanks to Philo is heavily influenced by Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, adding a Philo touch to the national act. Thanks to Philo recently celebrated their first anniversary as a band in October. Excited for the future, the band has progressed and matured faster than anticipated. Their first live show as a full band was played in Dillon, CO for a handful of local ski bums and bartenders, playing only covers of their favorite bands. Within 11 months the band has now graced Denver’s most popular local venues playing their own, self written, self titled music.
