ABOUT STEVE CRENSHAW, AN ACOMPLISHED MUSICIAN….. Steve Crenshaw, a guitar virtuoso, one of the most gifted and accomplished guitarist in the nation. His playing style is reminiscent of other blues masters such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton. Steve’s inspiring performance, electric or acoustic, incorporates a set list from a magnitude of classic blues artists and artists of today, including; Freddie King, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Kenny Wayne Shephard, and Earl King, just to name a few. What’s more and enjoyed most by fans is Steve’s own original music. His new cd Airplane promises listeners a fresh look into Steve’s song writing and arranging. Enlisting the help of producer and an amazing guitar player himself, Phil Brown helps launch Crenshaw out of his comfort zone into creative expression. Steve has shared the stage with national acts including, The Doobie Brothers, Creedance Clear Water Revisited, Lynard Skynard, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Shemikia Copeland, Blue Oyseter Cult, Johnny Lang, Brian Lee(currently on the road with Kenny Wayne Shepherd), Tab Benoit, Papa Chubby, Tinsley Ellis, Firefall, Chris Duarte Group, and Hazel Miller. Steve also toured the nation with world renowned “Ragin Cajun” fiddler Doug Kershaw. His tenure was highlighted by a performance for the Inauguration Ceremony of Governor Kathleen Blanco, in January of 2004. In 1998, Harley Davidson Motorcycle Company, featured Steve Crenshaw on their 95th Anniversary parts and accessories promotional video. This video is included with every new bike purchase world wide. Steve’s unique style and mastery is recognized with an endorsement by G&L Guitars, a company started by the legendary guitar designer, Leo Fender. Steve tours the country giving guitar clinics, demonstrating these fine guitars and sharing his knowledge of technique and style. Steve Crenshaw is one of Denver’s greatest guitarists, a local legend, championed by Rick Lewis and Michael Floorwax of 103.5 The Fox, a chosen local performer sought out to open for national acts at Red Rocks Amphitheater and other venues through out Denver. Steve has performed at Empire Blues Fest, Evergreen evening in the park, Peoples Fair, featured on Public Television, special guest with Michael Hornbuckle on channel 9 News, Cu/Csu game at Mile Hi Stadium boasting a modest crowd of 70,000.
