Smokestack Relics
Smokestack Relics was formed in 2009, as a trio consisting of Chris Jorgenson (‘89 Lakewood, CO) on drums, Cameron Webb (‘92 Kansas City) on lead guitar and Collin Webb (’89 Broken Arrow, OK) on vocals and rhythm guitar. The three initially met in high school as friends, which led to jamming for friends, and eventually the band was formed.
The three started off playing old Howlin’ Wolf and Hound Dog Taylor tunes, which led to eventually playing the songs with a Southern Rock and Roll feel. They still play a few old blues songs, but their main point is to write original, fresh material with some of that old-school sound.
Smokestack Relics never wanted to limit themselves to a certain genre of people, so they decided to make music that can be related to by any type of person. They write about the everyday struggles of Man, and how peace and love can be achieved.
