Phonostylus
In the summer of ‘09, the trio Phonostylus was formed in the heart of Denver by three men brought together by fate and their passionate desire to rock! David S. Dunn, Ryan Labossiere, and Logan Maginnis wasted no time and have steadily been appearing on local stages since August at establishments including: *Roobar *The Open Tap *Old Curtis St. Bar *Euphoria Lounge *Auraria Campus *Herman’s Hideaway *The Toad Tavern. Stylistically, Phonostylus aims to be equally original and accessible, as they pay tribute to a wide array of musical movements through their songs, which range from dangerously catchy and fun pop tunes to hypnotic grooves no hips can deny, to full throttle psychedelic surfabilly anthems that will leave you begging for more. Sort of like the Steve Miller Band and Reverend Horton Heat meets Sublime and G-Love and Special Sauce, Phonostylus remains ever committed to authenticity, using soulful vocals, spicy guitar licks, bumpin’ bass lines and gritty drumming to pour their hearts out on stage.
