Gritt Hitter
GRITT HITTER is a three-headed monster of hard rock. It’s heavy, it grooves, and serves it’s metal from a heart of rock and roll. Based a mile high, in Denver, Colorado, the band consists of Kevin Mino on guitars/ vocals, Lori Carr on bass, and Brendon Speas on drums. Formed in November, 2008, Kevin and Brendon converted Lori from funk to metal, the spark ignited, and like a sonic BOOM, GRITT HITTER was born.
GRITT HITTER has disowned all biological parents to instead be raised by Black Sabbath, Motley Crue, Pantera, Down, Torche, KISS, Metallica, and The Sword. GRITT HITTER leaves nuanced rock to other outfits and instead exudes a musical blunt force, heavy hypnotic/riffs, and a crushing ‘in the pocket’ rhythm section that delivers the punch.
In their first six months together, GRITT HITTER headlined their second show to a packed, Saturday night house at The Toad Tavern in Littleton, CO. GRITT HITTER gave their first FM radio interview on KBPI 106.7 with Denver’s metal hero Uncle Nasty. The ‘Denver band hang out day’ segment on KBPI also aired GRITT HITTER’s first single, ‘Delicate Bastard’ to the masses, and they capped off their sixth month anniversary playing the ‘10:00p money slot’ to another full house at the Gothic Theater in Denver.
GRITT HITTER is currently recording at Modular Overload Studio, and are looking to release their first EP some time in the early fall. They are putting together their first HD DVD package with Stalls Videography, this will include live footage from the recent Walnut Room and Gothic Theater shows and a concept video for their song ‘The Loss Goes On’.
This is a band that you must see, hear, and FEEL to believe. GRITT HITTER will be rocking shows along the Colorado Front Range this summer.
