Colorado’s Full Belly seamlessly blends rock, reggae, jazz and funk, creating all American music with depth and soul.
Full Belly’s EP cd was recently licensed to MTV/Bunim-Murray Productions for The Real World, Road Rules and All-Star Challenge. Full Belly is featured on episode 16 of MTV’s The Real World Denver performing the original Full Belly song, “New Voice”. Songs from the Full Belly EP recording are also featured in the 2004 American Outback Filmworks independent film, ”’92 Cool”!
Transporting audiences onto the dance floor, Full Belly fuels the fire with funky beats, jazzy interludes and improvisational tones to coin the phrase,”Groove Induced”!
The fret board wizardry of Chris Connolly add to the bottom line of ever impressive bass work of Kevin Welch to create a sound as exciting as it is solid. Rooted in a solid foundation of unique drumming, Full Belly’s Kevin Herrington is the man with the plan. Always seeking out fresh beats and meters from a diverse array of musical genres, Kevin continues to amaze audiences with his unique style and approach to drumming. On keys, Lance Lewallen lays downs the groove with the soulful sounds of the Fender Rhodes. Paul “Slater P” Stadler has played saxophone all over the world and continues to hone his craft with Full Belly. These elements combined with the lyrical stylings and rhythm guitar of Stephen Herrington, result in a diverse sound for a diverse audience.
Through excellent vocal harmonies and music, the members of Full Belly seek to capitalize on their love for a variety of musical styles. Ensuring that the audience is completely involved, Full Belly’s wide range of musical sounds provide a flavor of music to satisfy even the most discriminate musical tastes. As a relatively new band, Full Belly has already graced the stages of top Colorado venues, clubs and breweries throughout the state.
