DB and the Catastrophe

DB and the Catastrophe is the refreshing complete package of an exciting, angsty Pop-Punk band. Dylan Busby, fronting the band on vocals and guitar, brings back the “deep-sounding sex appeal”(Colorado Music Buzz) Ness like voice to the music scene. Bringing the horn and backing up on guitar and vocals is Tyler McGoffin. Taking a walking bass line to an entire new level is Ricky Brown. Awing crowds and unlike anything you’ve ever seen on a drum set is Diego Valenzuela.
One year seems like a small time for most, but this band has seized every opportunity and worked hard to get in front of their fans. In the short 12 months of being a band DB and the Catastrophe went from being old high school friends to the collaborative group they are today.
Coming out with their sampler in early 2009 they captured the Denver scene’s attention. Following up with their first full-length album they had officially broken into the music industry as a whole. The word spread rapidly of their “infectious, crowd hyping music”-KCSU. The music hit the airwaves and a flood of attention came with it. While performing the material from their first album the band nailed down and perfected their Pop-Punk sound.
With their maturing sound they hopped into the infamous Blasting Room with the mind of Jason Livermore and late in October they finished up the single “Assault.” The single brought them to the Top 12 of 93.3 KTCL’s Hometown for the Holidays and to the front of the scene.
The start of 2010 was full of many gigs and the band had an itch to get back into the studio. So they geared up and hit the studio at the end of April and now bring you the new Don’t Look Back EP. It includes the single “Assault,” but also has three completely new songs! Check it out and buy it
