Chet and The Benders

The foundation of Chet and the Benders started about two years ago in a little apartment in Aurora when Curtis and Byron Borel started jamming. After getting tired of countless noise complaints from neighbors, they moved their operation to Colorado Music Studios on 21st and Larimer. From there they found their drummer in a hot number named Michelle Bickford. Several months went by, songs were written, members came and went and then there were three. One day on the way to practice Byron and Michelle were walking by Greyhound bus station, when they heard this voice. Feeling like had to find it, they searched the bus station for what seemed like days. Finally they reached the roof. And there he stood, the answer to their problems. A man dressed in confusing, amazing, repulsive, beautiful attire. A red bandana was wrapped around this long greasy hair, with the most awful pair of prescription glasses adorning his face. Michelle immediately asked if he would join their practice. Chet said nothing, nodded his head and walked away. Curtis, Byron and Michelle eventually went to practice, and after an hour heard a knock at the door. And there he stood… Chet Wallace. He looked at Curtis, and said, “Do what you do.” Curtis and Michelle started playing, and from out of nowhere Chet started singing. Thus was the creation of Chet and the Benders. Realizing that Chet was what they needed, Byron agreed to step down, and be the sound guy. Ben Mund was quickly added on bass. Chet is rarely seen around town, and his past is unknown. But when Chet and the Benders play a gig, he is always there. Want to find out more about Chet? Come experience Chet and the Benders. Stay Tuned…… Provided to you by: Wallace Inc.
