24th Peak Project

The 24th Peak Project is a constantly evolving project made up of the minds of several Denver idealist musicians. It began humbly titled Those Guys, with lead guitarist/banjo torturer Jeremy Reffel and rhythm guitarist/mandolin thwacker Burl Kramer working out covers and originals alike. Then early in 2006, bassist/flute fondler Adrian Alexander knocked on Reffel’s door while organizing with Environmental Action. A brief conversation revealed a shared love of Miles Davis, The Grateful Dead and… herbal supplements. Adrian was quick to offer his low-end services. The songwriting core of Reffel/Kramer/Alexander then became the basis for an often shifting line-up. First came tribal rock drummer Anthony Del Hierro, now a proud papa, followed by electro-funk madman Skyler Glover (hate to be his drum heads), and then mandolinist Richard Fiorillo. Going through many changes, the boys never stopped writing and working out their sound. With more gigs than ever booked into the beginning of the year, and no lack of ideas coming to mind, the only thing above The Peak is the endless sky.
